So, yep, I’ve decided to resume the blog. It’s been a while since I posted here (probably near the end of NFL Europe, in July), mostly by my own choice.
Just to make it easier, let’s do this in Q&A format. Isn’t that cute?
- What have I been up to since the last blog?
The end of NFL Europe was nuts. I went to
I pretty much stepped in the door and got a phone call: NFL Europe got shut down, as we had heard all along.
I got to actually spend almost a month at home in
Moved to
- What are you doing with the 49ers this year?
Well, interestingly enough, I’m getting the chance to do a little more this year. I’m getting to take on a little more responsibility with the publications part of the PR staff. I’m working with the game programs, the alumni newsletters, and all that stuff.
It’s awesome. It’s almost like doing the stuff I did senior year at Vanderbilt, when I did editing for the sports section of the paper. It’s sweet.
- Are you working a lot?
Yeah, a bit, but it’s fun. That’s just what it’s like during the NFL season. I always put it to people this way: think of how much you see the NFL in the news during the season. Someone’s got to manage it, right? (I wish I was that important, but, you get the idea.)

That’s really it in a nutshell. There are all kinds of interesting bits that I hope to recall and blog up as time rolls on. Actually, the accumulation of interesting stories are kind of what inspired me to come back to this.
Just since the time part of it is going to be nuts, the updates will come as I can do them, or as interesting stuff happens.
For instance:
- I had my first earthquake this week! It was a 5.6 on the Richter scale, which, according to the locals, is moderately strong. At first, it felt like a large truck was driving by. Then, the walls shook a little more, and it got louder. That’s when I realized, “Oh, I’m in an earthquake.”
It was nothing too crazy or earth-shattering (hahaha!!!!). I didn’t even move off the couch—although, as I’ve been told afterwards, maybe I should have hid under a doorway or something.
- I got the OK to work at Super Bowl XLII in
Those are the good times so far. There’s more to come (like, where I live, and interesting stuff like that), but I just wanted to get the ball rolling once again. More to come, friends.
